System Foundry

Active

A developer platform for discovering, modeling, connecting, provisioning, deploying, and monitoring modern software systems.

Last updated Mar 21, 2026

The problem

A system's real architecture lives in a dozen places — repos, cloud consoles, IaC files, and somebody's memory — and drifts steadily away from whatever diagram was drawn at the start. Answering “what does this actually look like now, and what changed?” is manual work every single time.

What’s being built

Four phases so far. Project and asset management with a React Flow architecture canvas, repository connection and scanning, code analysis that discovers API calls and endpoints, and integration mapping. Then infrastructure intelligence: Azure-focused recommendations generated from repo analysis, environment profiles, and Bicep template generation. Then provisioning and deployment: Azure account linking, applying IaC plans, deployment configuration, deployment runs with logs and rollback, health checks, and monitoring dashboards. Then advanced operations: architecture snapshots with comparison, drift detection and tracking, release annotations, and a multi-provider registry. Built as a pnpm workspace monorepo on React 19 and Vite.

Latest update

Separate from Project Foundry despite the name: System Foundry is about the running system — architecture, infrastructure, deployment, and drift — rather than the planning layer above it.

Current milestone

Phase 4 — architecture snapshots with comparison, drift detection, and release annotations
