Rock Bottom
PrototypeIndoor climbing, tracked properly — log your sends, keep your beta, and see where you sit on your gym's leaderboard.
Last updated Apr 5, 2026
Early prototype
This project is a working prototype — the core concept is proven but it is not yet production-ready.
The problem
Climbing progress lives in fragments: a video in the camera roll, a grade half-remembered, beta asked for at the wall and forgotten by the next session. Nothing ties the climb, the media, the route, and the gym together.
What’s being built
A mobile-first app that turns each climb into a record — grade, attempts, style, and media — attached to a route and a gym, so personal progress over time, shared beta videos, and gym-level leaderboards all hang off the same data. React Native and Expo client with Expo Router and React Query, Express API, Supabase Postgres and Storage, and Firebase Auth verified server-side by the backend.
Latest update
The MVP covers the loop that matters at the gym: log a climb with media, attach it to a route, and see it land on the leaderboard.
Current milestone
Auth, climb logging, and gym leaderboards working in the MVP
